DESCRIPTION: Duplex building (zoned Live/Work) in the Baca Railyard just West of downtown. The design guidelines allow for more experimentation
with materiality and modern form which is usually not allowed in the historic districts of Old Santa Fe.

The site will soon be linked by a bicycle/pedestrian path which connects to the Upper Railyard / Santa Fe Plaza and runs through an easement on the parcel.

The historic Acequia Madre creek runs behind the site. The existing well house can be seen behind the site and is accessed via the driveway shared with the residential parking.

Both live/work units are designed to be passive solar and use efficient cross ventilation. Ground floor has an exposed polished concrete slab, 12' ceilings with exposed
engineered posts and beams. Upper unit has a roof garden and deck with unobstructed views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, hardwood flooring, and 10' celings.
